extra filament on spool
so the spool data from prusa says 350 meters but i calculated as i have been printing from it and have gone over by at least 10 meters. is this normal to have a bit extra on a spool or is one of my setting possibly off?
thanks for any info
RE: extra filament on spool
the filament is normally sold by weight, 1Kg may represent more metres of some filaments
my Galaxy Purple shows 1044 grams plus spool, and 353 Metres filament
My Galaxy Black shows 1081 grams plus spool, and 366 Metres Filament
additionally your printer may not be extruding exactly the correct amount, room temperature and bondtech idler tightness can affect the rate of extrusion
if the room is warmer or the idler tension higher than expected, then you can extrude less than expected, if the room temperature is colder of the idler less highly tensioned, you can extrude more filament than expected.
other factors can also skew the expected results.
