Excessive stringing, suspect filament. Can it be saved?
Hi guys, first post here so a little about myself.
I dabbled in some 3d pruning years ago and learned a lot but I bought a cheap printer and quickly got disheartened. About a month ago I received my MK3S (kit). I learned so much assembling it and I've had some good success, even on tricky prints!
Now my problem/question. I've started getting a LOT of stringing, so much that a heat gun just makes blobs out of them. I can pretty much tell the path the hot end took for the entire print after the print. At first I suspected that it was to do with settings the I've tweaked so I went back and printed one of the included gcodes on the SD card, and it's even happening there. My printer is stock standard and I'm using prusament PLA.
From reading these excellent forums, I suspect my filament has been exposed to too much humidity. I've not really controlled how I stored it, It's indoors in a climate controlled room but it's still at about 60% humidity in here at times. My question is: is my filament ruined or would storing it in a sealed container with some desiccant material by able to restore it?
Bonus question: Are you of the opinion that something else could be causing my stringing?

I have not tied to dry it... I just ordered some desiccant an airtight sealed container and a hygrometer. I guess my real question was if filament could be dried out or if it's ruined and I should just bite the bullet and replace it once I am able to properly store it.
FWIW I'm attaching a picture to give an indication of what I'm describing. This is printed with prusament PLA with the gcode that was preinstalled on my printer SD card.

This roll prints Ok at 170C

Thanks! Can you share the code for this or link to the model on prusaprinters? I'd really like to try that! Of course, it's a temporary fix because I imagine that filament in good condition will work at the temp that it's supposed to, but it prevents me wasting 3/4 of a spool.
