disable z-movement on filament unload

Hi,

since a few updates there is thes function that the hotend moves up before unloading filament. Why is this implemented, what's the intension behind?

It only crashes on the upper end position after prints with a certain height or consumes time while waiting driving up.

How can I disable this "feature"? Thanks

If you are talking about the mk3 then you can’t without altering the firmware yourself and flashing some custom stuff. It’s printer firmware controlled.

Yes, mk3s. What a pity I can't simply turn it of

But what should be the benefit?

Do you or anybody else knows this?

If you are interested in the reasoning then you might want to read https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/issues/2761

thank you very much.

"to avoid leaving marks on the PEI sheet." is the background to this feature.

Since I never encountered marks on the pei sheet after heating up after a very thin print, i would like to be able to disable this function in a future release.

thanks for your help
