Delivery Require Signature?

Title basically. Does the delivery require a signature at drop off?

Re: Delivery Require Signature?

i have not had to sign for my 5 packages from prusa. my porch is semi safe looking. I think the odds of someone taking something off it are very small. and I am glad I have not had too. they seem to allways show up an hour after I goto work.

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

Re: Delivery Require Signature?

UPS are a pain in my area... they want signatures...

some drivers mess up, when I am not in...
lets face it, I didn;t know, in september 2017, what I would be doing in November 2018... when the delivery of my order eventually got actioned....

some drivers take my parcel to a drop off point about half a mile away... which is helpfull...

the worst driver / UPS cock up, resulted in UPS
1, refusing to accept a delay request in advance of attempted delivery, to deliver when I would be in...
2, ignored three requests to use the drop off point, or leave the parcel in my garage/ and eventually (after three failed deliveries)
3, left the parcel, on my back doorstep, in plain view, in the rain... and this was after I had to instruct prusa to contact UPS for me... as UPS were planning to return my parcel to Prague...

so it's a bit of a postcode lottery!

Joan

Re: Delivery Require Signature?

There is a reason they are called UPS. Just as there is a reason that when somebody makes a mistake we say, "ups! sorry about that"

From my workplace we often have to investigate to find our deliveries.

We can see on the tracker that it has been delivered, but the name/signature of the person recieving the parcel is unknown to us.
Sometimes we find the parcel in a shop nearby (bookshop, pharmacy, mens wear, bakers) or even stuffed under a chair.

We always write in the comments section NEVER to deliver on a Friday or weekend, because there is no staff available these days.

Guess when they most often turn up.

Re: Delivery Require Signature?

If it's DHL you can go to their website and print off a release form to tape to your door.

Always check the tracking information on the carrier web site. Most of the carrier put additional information there if the delivery requires special handling and also offering other options (like pick up from hub).

RE: Delivery Require Signature?

Four deliveries via dhl.

Left signature release form in envelope, taped to front door.

Good deliveries, never took the release forms.
