Darkness in Prusament PETG Yellow Gold
Hi, I tried out this filament but the end result is very ugly. It was also very difficult to remove from the build plate without leftover. From the product page, the two printed objects look bright and gold-yellowish but as for the one I printed, it is quite dark throughout. Like a darker version of the object next to the spool in the middle of the photos. It is kind of like sh*t. Anybody else has this problem? What could be the reasons and possible way to make it bright gold looking?

I would recommend to print a temp tower first and then find the surface of your choice and the optimal temperatures.
Temptower like this one or similar: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/20652-temp-tower-pla-petg-abs-mmu2s-compatible

Thank you. Does the temperature affect the color? Do you mean once the tower is printed, I will see that even with the same filament, different temperatures lead to different colors?

@peter-c20
The temperature certainly has an influence on the surface (matt, shiny) and the color tone. It is worth a try.

By temperature, do you mean hotend temperature alone? After I found the temperature corresponding to the color I like, where is the best place to change the temperature? Don't I need to adjust the fan speed? If so, how do I know which speed?

@peter-c20
Yes, hotend temperature. With the fanspeed you have to experiment. You can change the temperature and fan speed during printing in the preferences.

Also if you could provide some photos of the results it would help so we can see what you are seeing, also... and if you are having problems with removing it from the bed, how are your prepping the bed to print with PETG?
