CR-10S Pro Worth the Price
Hi All,
Need a bigger printer build area and the CR-10S Pro is on sale with coupons and such for like 480 Euro.. including taxes and delivery.. I love the Prusas, soon will have six of them, tomorrow actually, but i need a bigger print area for some new projects..
Is the printer worth the price..and Herr Prusa, if you had a bigger printer volume available, this wouldn't be an issue .. listening I hope ..
Any Opinions?

I printed a 10.5-inch transition for a Saturn V Model that was too big for my Prusa. Took 3 print attempts but the quality is comparable to the Prusa. I am installing a flex plate this weekend and I will have a large scale printer that is as good as the Prusa (in some ways).
RE: CR-10S Pro Worth the Price
Don't have the pro but do also have a Cr10S as well as my i3. Well I say its a cr10s but its now had a few modifications. After being spoiled by the bed on the mk3 I ended up replacing the glass on the cr10s with a magnetic sheet with a flexible steel sheet with pei to make it more like the mk3. I then had problems with layers under extruding sometimes so I replaced the hot end with an all metal micro swiss. Oh and it was incredibly noisy so i added motor dampeners and replaced 2 of the control box fans with much quieter ones. After that it was a decent printer but the stringing was alot worse than the mk3 so I printed off some new parts and made it direct drive. That sorted out the stringing and made the printer profile very similar to the Mk3. Fitted a petsfang style parts fan while I was at it. Physically its now much much more like the i3mk3, about the only thing its missing is the bed levelling which I almost added. I also changed the firmware from stock to the TH3d version which is a big improvement too.
Its been in that configuration for about 3 months now and I haven't had to level the bed once, the printer is almost as nice to use as the mk3 and the only prints that have failed have been down to me rather than the printer. Out the box its ok after tinkering its now great and as you say the extra bed size is sometimes needed. I don't think the accuracy is quite as good as the mk3. For example parts that are supposed to fit inside each other are better on the mk3 (they are a bit tighter on the cr10s). Thats why i do my precision parts on the mk3 and other not so critical parts on the cr10s.
RE: CR-10S Pro Worth the Price
The CR-10S and CR-10S Pro are vastly different printers and yes, the CR-10S Pro is worth the Cash.

I bought both a standard aluminum, fiberglass, and glass build plate. I prefer the aluminum build plate with the stickers so far. I am going to install a Bondtech and try to use metal plates that are magnetic.

Have been studying a bit and see that the ender 3 plates won't fit due to a difference in size.. The pro is 10 mm bigger on the x.
Where did you get the plates you bought? Using a Triangelab BMG or? I have a couple of them .. trying to resurrect an old P3 Steel XL with one of them but don't have it dialed in yet .. fails often .. PLA.. maybe cooling fan or adjusting retraction values ..
DId you replace the bed sensor?
Thanks for the info
