CoreXY, need advice
Hello
I currently own two printers, a Original Prusa MK2S and a Vivedino Raptor 2.0.
My plan is to sell my Raptor and add a coreXY and a couple of prusa mini´s.
but need some advice on which corexy.....(i know there will be a prusa corexy down the line, and this will most likely be added to the collection:) )
i have narrowed it down to these printers:
- Voron 2.2
- V-baby (by Roy berntsen)
- SecKit
- BLV mgn cube
i want the printer to have these qualifications:
- Just works, print after print, little/easy maintained
- can print most filamaments (TPU is a bonus, i know most of these have bowden)
- removable flex plate system
- price range up to $1000
bonus:
- good build manual
- established forum/users
- can be bought as a kit
anyone have the printers above and can give some insight? Or tips regarding other corexy printers on the market
RE: CoreXY, need advice
I was just reading this article yesterday when I was curious what does acronym "HEVO" mean: https://mechlab.cc/which-corexy-voron-vs-v-king-vs-d-bot-vs-hypercube-evo/ Maybe it will help you to get general overview? It is few months old (well almost a year) and things have evolved since.
RE: CoreXY, need advice
Did you progress?
Prusa delay its release date for a bigger printer and there is a lot of uncertainty. I think my need couldn't wait so long. I may go to an other temporary solution.
My requests are more or less like yours:
- Bell and whistle from the Prusa MK3:
- Flex build plate
- Autoleveling
- Direct drive
- Not a teflon lined hotend like the Prusa mini
- Non-Chinese
- established forum/users
- can be bought as a kit
- workhorse (Just works, print after print, little/easy maintained)
