Changing Speed during Printing for overhang prints?
I have a vase with a large overhang in the last 50% of the print and was wondering if I reduced the printer speed by 25% would this help or hinder the print? I am using a MK4S with MMU3 and Enclosure, printing with Overture Easy PLA. Are there any suggestions on what to do to help the print succeed? I have never changed the speed in the middle of a print before and was wondering if changing it would help or hinder. I am new to 3D printing so any suggestion would be appreciated!
RE: Changing Speed during Printing for overhang prints?
Is it better to change speed rather than put the printer in "Stealth Mode"? Which is better?
RE: Changing Speed during Printing for overhang prints?
Stealth mode mainly just lowers acceleration, so it probably won't change the perimeter printing speed. Printing slower would probably be better than printing faster for overhangs, it would give the filament more time to solidify and be cooled by the part fan. Maybe check out this video.

Thank you Ujin! This video really helps explain it a lot. Unfortunately my print speed is in percentage rather than m/s but I reduced my speed to 80% to see if that works.

If you are getting droop then just changing the speed might help but it's probably cooling that will help more.
See the first two values in:
Filaments > Cooling > Cooling thresholds
- you will need to be in Expert mode.
These allow you to define enough time between passes for the previous later to solidify. Every print tends to require a slightly different setup so expect to iterate a few tests; if the print is large cut it down to a test-part containing the problem area.
Cheerio,
