Anyone printed their own wrist splint?

I've just had wrist surgery... And the splint sucks! Just wondering if anyone has scanned their arms and made their own splint?

I recall seeing a video where someone fabricated not a splint but something for wrist-mounting a piece of a costume or something; I don't see any reason you couldn't so long as the result meets any mobility/stiffness requirements of the original.

I've seen 3d printed splints done with plastics that are low enough temperature to be pliant without burning. A rough shape is printed with a lattice or Voronoi pattern (sort of like this Voronoi Vase). Then the print would be heated up (hot water bath?) until pliant, slipped over the arm and molded to fit. When it cools, it maintains the new shape.
