Any siphon bottle head free CAD ?

---------------------

Hi.

Is there any siphon bottle head free CAD ?

We want to make a siphon head like this

https://sifongeiser.com/

and add a connection so it can be carbonated from a sodastream machine by a hose or something.

Because a carbonated and pressurized bottle of water,  do not lose any fizz for many days.

So when carbonated and disconnecting the hose, there is a one way valve that keep the pressure in the bottle

and the pressure then push out the water through the siphon head

when you need it.

We found this CAD but it is expensive and it is for metal.

Do anyone know about a  CAD  for a plastic 3D print siphon head ?

Regards Magnus

Remember that 3d prints are often not truly watertight and usually not airtight.

RE:

Sodastream sublimates CO2 so that part must resist about 60 bar, 60X atmospheric pressure or approaching 900PSI  that's 6 megapascals or over 60kg/cm^2

If you need to ask the original question then I doubt you are able to print and test for these stresses.

Your best plan might be to submit the design to a metal printing service and then carefully test the part before use.

But this is not a part for hobby printing.

This is not about a carbongas tube that have dangerous high pressure.

This is about the pressure after the gas regulator valve, that regulate the pressure down to safe pressure.

Here is the correct pressure for a sodastream bottle.

https://sodastream.com/blogs/sodastreams-sparkling-blog/how-is-water-carbonated

--------------------------------------

To successfully carbonate water with a CO2 tank, the gas regulator valve should be set at 55 PSI = 3,9 kg/cm² = 3,8 bar = 3,7 atm,

to enable the serving pressure to remain at around 12 PSI = 0,8 kg/cm² = 0,8 bar = 0,8 atm.

Note that most commercial carbonated waters,  are only carbonated to approximately 20 PSI = 1,4 kg/cm² = 1,8 bar = 1,7 atm,

which isn’t nearly enough to keep your bubbles bubbly once you’ve started pouring out and drinking your fizzy beverage.

-----------------------------------------

We are talking about the pressure in a soda bottle or a sodastream bottle after it have been carbonated.

We have done sipher cap head that work,  but want to find other designs to test and compare.

Retaining gas pressure is similar to the issues with water - but the pressures are internal so layer separation will be an issue.

For the basic remedies see:
