$40 to ship 1 Spool of Filament?
I am a USA Resident and have been buying Prusament for a while now. As of late it seems that the cost of shipping has Skyrocketed. Especially to the US. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this Global Conflict based? Apologies if I missed something/ an announcement or other updates here but man, $40 shipping for a <$30 Spool of PLA caught me off guard. This is honestly the best filament out there and am sad to see this happen.

Try VoxelPLA.com . They make excellent filament. A USA business in Garden Grove CA. It's $16.99 for both their PLA+ and PetG+. I get 20-30 spools at a time and that gets me about $1 a spool discount. It's FAST and prints very well. I've used it almost exclusively for over 1-1/2 years, except for a few specialty products I get from Amazon (next day shipping). For your $70 you can get 4 rolls with free shipping.

Prusa’s USA authorized dealer is: Printed Solid in NJ https://www.printedsolid.com sells Prusament for a reasonable price..plus free shipping over $50.
I checked Voxel out some time ago, it’s not made in the USA. I opted to not order it. “Printed Solid” has its own (Jessie) PLA & PTEG brands made in USA with trusted ingredients. Its PLA & PETG both sell for $19.99 for 1kg. I’ve only used Jessie filament, so I have no reference, but it’s rated very high…some say it’s as good as Prusament.

I just received two rolls of Prusament Monday and shipping cost me about $20, FedEx 3 day. I can see no shipping option that costs $40 to the US. I would take another look.

Worth a check, is Prusament manufactured in the EU ? if so I doubt in Czechoslovakia, I cannot
believe Prusa has its's own plastic extruder company just to support there printers.
With the crazy EU health and environment rules it would be very cost prohibitive.
The EU bans imports of bananas that are to curved, funny but true.

It absolutely has its own machines to make filament there’s whole blog posts and tour videos about it. They have multiple production lines now

I ordered some last week, same here. Nothing was close to $40.
Plenty of alternatives. I very much like Polymaker and Overture. But these days it's hard to find bad filament unless you go for rock-bottom pricing.
