3D newbie question about which sheet to buy with printer
Hello,
Probably a stupid question or impossible to answer, but here it goes :
when buying the Prusa i3 MK3S, you can choose to buy 2 different sheets or buy them both.
But as someone who has never owned a 3D printer, I'm not sure which is the best option.
- Spring steel sheet with smooth double-sided PEI sheet
or
- Double-sided textured powder coated spring steel sheet
With your experience, maybe you can tell me which one is best for me ?
Thanks in advance,
ilja

If you can only get one, go with the smooth PEI. If you can get both, get both.

I only have the powder coated version and I absolutely love it.

Thanks for the info.
Are there any advantages/disadvantages, between the textured and the smooth one ?
Textured :
To let materials stick better to the printbed ?
Or is it just a matter of smooth versus textured finish of the print ?
