2K Filament Storage Solution at HomeDepot

I have looked and looked for something that would hold one or two 2K filament spools that did not break the bank,  I found this at home depot.  Holds 2 spools of 2K and is water proof and airtight for $16

To be honest when I saw the title I thought "Storage for 2000 rolls of filament?"

I was wondering why cryogenic storage would be beneficial, and surprised that Home Depot would have all the components to get down to 2K.

I know.  HD amazes me sometimes!  I spent much time looking online for a simple 2k filament storage that didn't take an entire paycheck.  So, I just took an empty spool to Home Depot and found that box.  It is air-tight and water-tight and is only a little more than the single roll cereal boxes.  I can get 5 rolls of single 1k spools in it.  They stack well also.  I just thought others might be looking also.

I'm not to 2,000 rolls yet, but getting there!

We were just joking about potential misunderstandings due to the sloppy use of units:

2K = 2 Kelvin = very low temperature
2k = 2000 = large number
2 kg = 2000 g = mass of a large spool of filament.

This would work well for filament storage.

You know your a real science nerd when this Post makes you laugh. Can't get much colder then 2K. I was thinking, why would you want to use a 2K light bulb in your filament storage?? ;-))

Home depot has an even better one.  I have one in each size. Small for tools medium and large for filament.  I know I could fit about 25 rolls in the large.  I have about a dozen in it now.

The one I found is perfect for 2 kilo spools X 2 or 5 1K spools.  I had been looking for something that was not stupid expensive.
