print came out good and its better than just throwing it away,

I have several pieces that are only a few feet long that I keep for little stuff or test prints.

you could consider using short bits with a 3d pen... for repairing small errors or stand alone free hand modeling!

My friends daughter has a 3D pen so I donate all mine to her.

Joan - congrats on hitting 1000 posts - I've read and learned from many. In relation to 3D pen - would you have any recommendations?

I only have one 3D Pen,
it's a chinese pen with ABS And PLA options,,, variable temperature and variable speed...

I will never use it with ABS because ABS Fumes affect my chest badly.

but I may use it with PETG.
and of course PLA...

I was recently trying to strengthen a part by putting micro slots in it, but Slic3r didn't behave well so I have a couple of blemishes that I need to repair, which is where i will probably use it next...

My freehand modelling skills are rubbish
