Benchy and these sorts of "stress test" prints are great once you have everything tuned. I've printed a couple of these -- including printing on a Monoprice Cadet with an unheated bed and near-zero part cooling -- but they're really just more clutter. I've cut back after tossing a bunch. They can be useful if you've made changes to your printer or settings and just want to confirm that clearances are still good.

Unfortunately, a lot of people think these are necessary to troubleshoot basic problems when far simpler tests make for better diagnostics. After printing a bunch of 3 hour stress tests early on, I shifted focus to 15 minute prints for testing specific settings.

I printed a couple.  PLA was easy with a 2-loop brim, and I got a working one with PC on my first try too.  BUT PETG took me 4 or 5 attempts before I got one that could turn and didn't crack when freeing it up.  The cooling and speeds had to be just right to prevent it from fusing solid or having weak layers.

I agree with what you're saying, but I would counter that those simpler tests a lot of time don't capture the combined effects of multiple parameters.  Like with this test, I had PETG dialed as far as dimensional accuracy, layer adhesion, etc on the simple tests, then I tried this model and it exposed several situations that needed refinement.  So this isn't the place to start trouble shooting, but these more complex tests have their place.

And yes, they are absolutely more clutter (as I sit next to a shelf of ~30 speed benchies).
