Re: Photo for exhibition

The exhibition is on today and tomorrow. I took a quick video this morning before we had too many people attending.

Re: Photo for exhibition

Peter, it is absolutely amazing. Can you count sum of hours spent until that was all finished?

Fantastic Peter, both the 3D models and the exhibition concept, what a great way to show people the wonders of the world! Was it deemed a success on the day? 😎

I dread to think how much you spent on Filament! 😮

True dedication to a cause!

Re: Photo for exhibition

Hi Guys

Just back from 2 rather exhausting exhibition days.

Thanks all for your kind comments.

To answer to questions:

I have no idea how many print hours, but I think the large Eiffel tower took about 4 print-weeks and weighs in at 9Kg.

The exhibition was a great success, even though the tourist board blocked the entrance to the park that they put us in... Mind you it wasn't that long ago that they also used to close for 6 weeks holiday in the middle of summer...

As far as filament cost is concerned, I buy filament through may company, so I do reclaim the VAT element and I have a local filament producer who makes a small but great quality range of filaments. I also get good discounts from him and the last filaments I bought cost only €17 (approx £14.50) per Kg, ex VAT.

Looking at the video, I just have one word: "Awesome !"

I love the reference doc for each object printed, and putting a live demo of a mk2 printing is a brilliant idea, way to demonstrate the full process 🙂

I'm like Jon Snow, I know nothing.

Christophe

Many thanks. My wife insists on presenting the exhibitions properly, but she didn't want to take the printer in case it was damaged. She is now very pleased that I insisted it went with us.

I have had comments that the YouTube video stabilisation has a bad effect on some people, so I will try to upload some stills later today.

Here's a few stills:

All 13MPixel, so you should be able to open in a new tab and zoom in...

EDIT: Just noticed me in the background having a crafty fag...
