Movie set made with 3D printers (95% Prusa)
Hi everybodies,
just wanted to share with you my last creation with Prusa printers. A movie set for my next Sci-fi film.
All the props, weapons and solid part of the costumes were made from 3d print as well.
A lot of fun to do ! The shooting is already completed and the editing will start pretty soon.
Cheers
PS : The panels are made of wood of course.

Bonjour, ça s'appellera Dark Cell c'est ça ?
En tout cas, félicitation c'est un magnifique projet que j'ai hâte de voir à l'écran. 🙂

The name of the movie is indeed "Dark Cell".
The editing just started so expect to see it in 4 or 6 months I think.

@jmtari
That looks like fun!
Do you have any more closeups? How many 3D printers were involved? Did you outsource, or does your production company model and print their own props?
Cheers, mate!

@jmtari
Very nice. You should do a “how to” thread.

Oh wow, this is pretty incredible!
Do you have a team or.....?
RE: Movie set made with 3D printers (95% Prusa)
300 kg of filament used. 1200 printing days distributed on 3 printers.
... so that settles the question if this was some sort of minuature set or the real deal in full size 😉
Pretty impressive stuff.

@evavoo
No, I was alone during the 2 years to do the design and all prints. Only few weeks before the shooting, I was help by a french 3D print company (3D Esquisse) that helps me with ABS pieces that I was not able to do with the Prusa.
