Model Rockets
I am currently designing and printing a model rocket aprox. 27" tall with a 3" tube powered by an estes F15-4 motor. I plan on putting the printed parts in the model section for download when complete. Has anyone here printed any model rocket kits before or posted on the subject?
RE: Model Rockets
I forgot to mention that the model was redrawn in Open Rocket (free) for analysis. One of the nice features to this software is the rocket components can be exported as obj's and therefore brought into Slicer.

I recently used my vintage 2011 Rep Rap Prusa Mendel to clone the out of production early 1980s Estes Attack Craft Orion kit with PLA prints for the nosecone, mandrels to wrap paper tubes around, engine mount to body tube spacers and an upgrade from the original steel spring engine retainer to a threaded cap.

These are some of the parts for a 2" x 41" tall rocket. Waiting on tubes to get here.

Nice! I'm curious how you are approaching minimizing weight of your parts. Are you doing vase mode prints, or perhaps a different approach?
