Lithophane lampshade

Hi,

I made litlle lampshade from 360 picture. I placed 360 camera to apple tree in my yard and that picture I turn in to lithophane with
http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/ web app.

I use Filamentum PLA with Slic3r normal settings with 0.2 layer and so on. Only thing what I changed was Infill to 100.

Lampshade 18 cm wide and 17 cm high.

With light on you can see layers, so I should maybe put little bit higher temp to nozzle..?

Wow that is awesome, I have been struggling with making a lithopane. Never seems to come out right.

Did you do any photo editing before using http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/ ?

Thank you,
No I did not edit photo before

But web app crashes with actual size, I think that reason is my old computer and bad network connection.
So I scale it up little bit slic3r

Edit:
I follow this instructions

Only differense that I use slic3r

Re: Lithophane lampshade

Hi there,

I know it is not the topic, and sorry aki.k that i could not help you.

I am also trying to print some lithophanes, but my problem is that the images are after going through http://3dp.rocks/lithophane , importing into Slic3r and rotating 90° around Y-axes the picture is not entirely on the bed. I don`t know how to get this thing down....

Please have a look:

Any ideas?

Thanks and greetings from Austria
Tino

Re: Lithophane lampshade

All of the lithophanes I've created using that site are damaged/defective when it comes to loading them in Slic3r. I always need to repair them.

To do this, I import them into the Windows 10 3DBuilder program. They will automatically get repaired. There's also a "Settle" option that may be needed with yours although that has not been a problem for me.

Once I save them as a new .stl, they work fine in Slic3r.
