Hi-Tech-ish lithophane frame/viewer
This is a Christmas gift to my wife, a lithophane of her favorite but late cat 'Frodo' in a spherical frame/viewer backlit with LEDs.
I know I posted some test copies of the lithophane in another thread here, but here's the finished item.
The sphere and base were done with Mika3d metallic PLA. The lithophane was done with Hatchbox PLA.
The sphere part took almost 20 hours to print! I was afraid that she would see it printing and ask me what it was. She did not. 😉 If she asked I was planning to fib and say that it was a radar dome for the model railroad. 😉
(Kind of difficult to get the exposure right for the photo. I wanted both the sphere and the image to show.)
