G-Whale-7 fin now fully functional
After years of development, my large single fins are finally tough enough to last in the real-world surf environment.
And they out-perform traditional fins by a wide margin.
The video is best enjoyed with a VR headset. Recorded with a 360Fly camera installed in the surfboard.

What material did you use to print this? A colleague was asking about the feasibility of printing fins for boards and while I know it can be done, I couldn't tell him much more.

I used high quality PLA.
But the stiffness and resistance against snapping off relies upon carbon parts which are not 3D printed.

Wow. I remember when you first started on the journey to make this happen. Lots of polycarb printing, fails, etc. Glad you were able to finally realize your dream.
