Eiffel tower
I'm still new to the printer, but I was really impressed with how this model came out with a 0.25mm nozzle. All stock settings with silver prusament, scaled to max height.

I think it was about 22 hours, with 0.15mm layers 😊

I want to say I don't think you really need the small nozzle for that, but I can't argue with the results!

Without the smaller nozzle, there are some features on the tower that don't print, most noticeably the railings on the first floor. (Even with the smaller nozzle, only half of them actually printed successfully, as they are _really_ tiny :D)

I know, isn't that crazy. I have soo many models I made years ago that cant print without small nozzles and layers. but at least the mystery has been solved.

Eiffel tower printed with a 0.4mm nozzle on the Mk1 and Mk2. Total height about 1.6m. Railings on the table, waiting to be assembled.

I think you could have gone abit bigger.. just put it on the floor...that thing is huge.
and yes print something that big everything should show up. maybe even with a .6 😀

The cutting of the model was the difficult bit; going larger with just the two printers (don't forget the Mk1 was a smaller bed) really would have taken too long. This was 2 weeks with both printers working 24/7.

Well, it appears there's someone in his life--there are curtains on the windows.
About the motivation/reason for this print, I'm not even going to ask--I know of too many nerds who've built life-size TARDIS' (some only to find they couldn't get them through the door of where they built them). 😆
Yes, I went back and read the referenced thread. Being a (sometimes) model-railroader helps me understand, but those models don't appear to be the same scale (much less HO). 😉

We started with a model railway (OO/HO) :

The cost of model buildings is rather high, so I persuaded wifey to let me buy a 3D printer to print some buildings; of course, she wanted some big structures; Eiffel tower is still not tall enough 🙁
Anyway I printed the models which turned into another exhibition:
That's about it really, nothing special.

Reminds me of a specification of equipment on some hifi forums: the WAF. Speakers can have a low or a high WAF; other equipment also and I suspect 3D printers also have a WAF.

It really became a synonym for "nice design"... But yes, maybe the term needs retiring/changing. Also, why would only women care about aesthetics? 🙂 (couldn't that also make your curtain comment P.I. ? 😯 )

How did you even get this to print? I have tried multiple times even with other prints with "holes" and I can't get it through the slicer. I always get:
