Core One – Showcase Lighthouse (Galaxy Black PLA)

Just finished running the Prusa-supplied lighthouse G-code on my Core One, using Prusament Galaxy Black PLA.

Printer setup: Stock Core One with a few tweaks — stone-damped base, tuned exhaust, vibration damping feet.

Filament: Direct from dryer @ 50 °C.

Profile: HF 0.15 mm layer height (default Prusa showcase G-code).

Print time: ~19.5 hrs.

Room temp: 20 °C, stable environment.

Observations:

Wave surface is glossy smooth, almost resin-like — only the faintest intentional-looking ripple at flat peaks.

Spiral staircase cutaway is crisp with every tread visible. Blocks on the walls are crisp, well defined. Incredible resolution.

Balcony rails are clean and sharp with zero sag or blobbing.

Roof dome is smooth, no overhang sag.

The spire came out razor-sharp, vertical, no melt-back or wobble.

This print passed every torture test Prusa baked into the model. No visible artifacts at all, even under close inspection (I checked from 3–4" away without glasses — my “built-in loupe” test).

Honestly, I think this turned out better than the marketing photos.Galaxy Black Lighthouse
