Adapter for Masterspool V4 to use the same Spool for 1 Kg and 2 Kg

I'm using refills more and more often, so I printed Masterspool V4 by RichRap from Thingiverse. It's great because it saves unnecessary waste, enables smaller packaging, requires less transportation weight and you don't have the guilty conscience of having to dispose of empty spools every time. Incidentally, refills are also much cheaper.
But I'm more interested in 2 kg, although the supply is (still) limited.But with demand, that should soon become more...At least I wanted to initiate something in this direction. The Masterspool also seems to be available for 2 kg, but the original version has a few “catches”: Firstly, you either have to print the 1 Kg version, which already takes some printing time, or the 2 Kg version, which takes even more printing time. The next catch is that you can only use them for the quantity. This means you have a lot of different Masterspool variants lying around. I thought to myself, why not simply design an intermediate piece that is screwed between the two threads and, depending on whether 1 kg, remove the adapter and insert the adapter for 2 kg and you're done? They hardly take up any space - you could probably fit almost 20 adapters in a shoe box... I have posted the adapter, with reference to the original Masterspool V4,here at Printables . It needs support, but only in the lower part, the wider upper part can do without it, which requires the use of support blockers, but saves a lot of printing time - so the more support you need, the more worthwhile it is to take a closer look at it... 😉
