Cura vs PrusaSlicer?
I have been using Cura for a while and am pretty familiar with it. Just purchased a Prusa Mini and am wondering if I should continue w Cura or switch over to PrusaSlicer?
Just saw a youtube video comparing printing speeds and it seemed to say that Cura based print took more than twice as long as the PrusaSlicer based print.
RE: Cura vs PrusaSlicer?
Be sure to compare actual print times and not slicer estimates. If the hardware settings aren't correct for the printer (e.g. acceleration, jerk) estimates can be way off.
Cura is a good slicer and under heavy development. It has some interesting capabilities and if you like it, there's no reason to switch. That said, PrusaSlicer is also under heavy development, and is tuned for the Prusa printers. Support may be easier if you post here with PrusaSlicer settings.
