Ater I did more than once? Because he would then demand something else. After taking him at his word several times, it became clear he'd just change words around and come back.

There is nothing unclear about:

So:

• Yelling at people for not wearing a mask when they can't is selfish and sucks.
• Not wearing a mask when out around people when you have no medical reason not to do so is selfish and sucks.
• Not wearing a mask when out around people and attempting to disrupt a business that is trying to stay open and keep people employed is selfish and sucks.
• Wear a mask if you can.

Do the three offenders have a history or something?  Makes no sense why two of them would dehumanizing the third over something everyone agrees is bad.

Because it was a trap. The "example" he cited several times proved to be nothing of the kind. When that was pointed out, it turned into "I never said so!" 

Why would I list everything I'm against on demand when I never spoke out in favor of them?

Meanwhile... Back to 3D printing....

The only 3D printed items I'm finding any use for lately are the ear savers and maybe the frames that hold them down. Well made face shield, cloth masks, and even N95s are easy to find now, and at pre-COVID-19 prices to boot. I'm glad to have participated in some way, but glad there's no longer a need. 

Now just waiting my turn for the vaccine.

We can have a discussion about masks.   Masks work.  Should they be mandated is another story.  

It gets real tricky when you get into areas like airlines and public transportation. While I think United may have been a bit heavy-handed, I'd rather they err on the side that protects people for now. Particularly given some of the other aspects of that case. That's why making blanket statements without context are dangerous.

The world is going to be interesting going forward. Airlines and sports stadiums are notorious for trying to pack people in at the expense of comfort and health for decades. If you sat in a $250 seat at a sports stadium, your knees would literally be up against neighbors to the side and in front. I'm curious how those industries convince people they're safe while still extracting every cent of profit out of paying customers.

I suspect the world is going to change, and hopefully for the better.

It's a question of whether there shall be a complete shift back to normal after the pandemic, or not, I hope that we all will have learned valuable lessons from this horrific virus, and this will bring about a cultural change in behaviour.  However, knowing how poorly humans tend to learn from mistakes, I feel this is not something that is guaranteed.

I would like to see a change with how people handle themselves if they have even a common cold, bug, or flu.  Not necessarily where everyone is forced to wear a mask, but it is frowned upon at least to go into public while Ill without one. I know this is asking a lot, but one can hope.

I have always thought it was wrong to go to work or out while ill, however I must admit to being guilty of this many times with a cold, or bug due to the guilt culture that is present on those who call in sick.

If something is to change,  should this be top of the list?

The way you make a change is to stop buying tickets and products.  We do not need govn mandates.  Power is in the hands of the consumer.

Agreed

But my thoughts were that the habitual use of masks, and fear factor brought on by Covid will bring positive changes going forward.

Hopefully a good portion of the population will continue with masks, hand hygiene and social distancing after the pandemic, not for example back to the men not washing their hands in the pub bathroom and then using the hand that has just been holding their chap to grab the door handle in front if you. (Dirty sods) 🤢🤮

(That's why I always use a tissue to open toilet doors)

We don't have those nasty little beggars in the UK.

Just little black ants, they can be a real pain if they decide that your house is worth raiding, had a few close calls with them but thankfully managed to stop their invasion in time.

Found they really don't like pepper, put a line across where they are coming in and stops them rather promptly, or slows them down.

I also used the bait traps, they take the bait back to the nest, feed it to the queen and that's the nest done for, they work very well.
