PETG/Plexiglass Visor - Canada

Hello,

Has anyone in Canada found a viable option for the visor? Seen lots of links in the comments but nothing available in Canada.

Someone had posted this link https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/126/3816

Can anyone confirm the thickness needed? Am seeing 0.5 mm and 0.03" (0.7 mm) online

EDIT - I have seen that 0.5-0.7mm thick SHOULD work. Can anyone confirm?

Would appreciate any additional links I can purchase from.

Don't know where you are, But I can't find anything in BC. Found a company in USA that ships worldwide (still) but their prices are not listed online at this time. They do carry the PETG film you are looking for. Curbell

Quality is the Journey, not the Destination. My limited prints->

Search for "transparency film" or "transparency sheet", these are the clear plastic sheets used for classroom projectors. You should be able to find them at staples or other office supply stores.

I've been thinking about using Laminate sheets. You can purchase on Amazon in 3mm or 5mm, you would need the laminator but it seems to me like a good option. Links:

I'm printing a test now, will post when finished.

What do you guys think?

I think Laminating pouches will give Distorted Vision.

You are correct. I just laminated a sheet to test and it is fairly foggy. Now also looking for appropriate plastic visor supply in Canada. Has anyone had any luck?

I found some. Grimco has a variety of options. You'll have to create an account and have a business to do so:

EDIT: SOLD OUT

@joantabb

Thank you, these would work with one of the groups I'm in that is developing shields for highly flexible materials.

Given the shortage on plastic I've turned back to the laminate pouches, for regular care I believe these will be fine despite being a little foggy. See the attached view from inside the shield.

Are you going to round the bottom corners off, so they don't snag
