RE: Pandemic
Have you fuel proofed the model?
Nitro is good at undoing things...
I had an airboat with a Webra .19 donkeys years ago...
My latest Airboat is electric
as is my cruise ship

RE: Pandemic
PETg is totally fuelproof. Worst comes to worst I can reprint certain parts in that. PLA seems to be reasonably fuel resistant, however. I did a teston some debris from a crashed PLA printed plane at the flying field one day and, sitting there in the sun for 4-5 hours straight with a thorough coating of Omega 15%, the PLA just didn't really care.
I will be finding out for sure and certain this weekend if I can find a 5" prop and my 1/2a fuel. Strap it to my bench vise, flash it up, run it a bit. TBPH I'm more concerned about how hot the mounting ears of that little engine get than I am anything else; the beam mount is itself printed(100% infill) and if that starts to get melty I might have top spring for a commercial nylon mount instead. The plywood adapter will nicely enough keep the heat from getting into anything behind the engine.
