Luffa Filter Patent From 1967 For Use With Multi Media Face Mask

Hello,  A renewable mask medium can be made from two items fabricated in any community.  The commonly known first one is activated carbon.  Plenty of youtube videos on making that from wood to the preferable by many coconut husk.  The other one is not well know.  Attached is a link for a 1967 patent making duct, automobile, and other filters using luffa, also known as loofah and vegetable sponge.  It is grown all over the world.  Patent describes how it can be flattened then inserted into a cage upon wetting it expands making an excellent filter media.  If used as a pre-filter on both sides of another media such as activated carbon and cotton the result would be an incredible mask for certain.  Beware there are counterfeit plastic luffa now but a melt test would obviously determine that.  Real luffa will absorb moisture from breath or on other side of mask incoming bio aerosol.  Please let me know of feedback/thoughts.  I have tried to contact Smart Air to offer to pay for lab costs for testing but no results after phone call and email so far.  Kind regards, Mike Kendall  edited to add the link sorry got excited and hit the button too early....... https://patents.google.com/patent/US3460321A/en

Forgot to add two bits of info on original post.  This can be easily sewn on a sewing machine after compression (before wetting to re expand).  Also, users of luffa commonly dis infect it by soaking in water/bleach solution making it truly re usable.
