Help with face mask.

Hello

I'm trying to print a face mask for my wife as she's a RN, and her hospital is really short of PPE.  However, my print is not working well.

I'm using Prusa filament with print speed 95.  Bed temp 75 with Brim support.  I also turn on the fan at 50

RE: Help with face mask.

I know you want to protect your wife, but after seeing the state of your 3D printing, I am fairly concerned whether you can print an adequately, air tight 3d mask, and make it fit air tight to her face, and have adequate filtering material without any channeling around the filter material.

Even a skilled 3D printer will be challenged to get all those adequately addressed in a face mask. Yes, something beats nothing, but this is a new era of protection requirement. Most things before this virus, we could control with just filtering in the large particle range (> 1 micron). This new one is so contagious that even sub-micron aerosolized particles produced by just talking are sufficient to spread disease. It's an entire order of magnitude change in threat that needs to be defended against.

If you must print a 3D mask, definitely be able to do it perfectly. Your print sample and need to get help improving it, concerns me.
