Sorry for interrupting your thread, I was hoping to see if anyone had answers re: disinfecting 3d printed materials. If I have any further questions, I will create a brand new post.

The face shield is accepted in France, they have a created a team that will receive all the printed parts, clean them and add the transparent sheet and elastic band and them distribute it to hospitals. It is called 3D 4 Care, have a look: http://3d4care.org/
They will even collect the prints from people near Paris. People farther can send it by post.
Maybe you can point this to your hospital in Belgium.

Thank you very much for the reply. I will most certainly pass this on, this seems like the very best way to go: That team guarantees that everything is sterile and ok while allowing everyone to help producing. Kudos, really, for this creative solution.

What material would you like it made out of?
Polypropylene (PP), it's food safe and resists many chemicals which is ideal for sterilizing. Also is flexible enough, has ability to be bent and used with "live joints" without too much fatigue. Also it would be possible to make some kind of adjustable head-band from it instead of using rubber band.
