Covid Face Shield Support
Hi everyone, I'm not sure what to print to help support you guys, there are a lot of files on here for this project. Not sure if I can put an image in this post either. The Covid19 HEADB and RC3 fit on my bed though, is that a good one?. Also what filament?, anything but PLA I'm guessing. Thank you for the help.

First check with hospitals/clinics/Doctors in your area as to their requirements.
Next: Confirm your localities material needs. PLA may work for some areas and PETG may be required in others.
Once you find that out find a local source for the shield material (Mylar .8 mil or mylar .5 mil). Local folks can tell you what they can use.
Then go for it.
As to printing I believe you can use a 0.8mm nozzle and crank out face shield frames more than twice as fast.

I have checked with my local hospitals and the University of Michigan has an Ozone cleaning room used to sterilize masks. That may be a viable option in your locality.

RE: Covid Face Shield Support
Anybody looking to help locally in the US should check out the Masks for Docs slack channel. Once I located MFD, I was able to find a local support group and get in contact with someone in my town who is assembling the Prusa shields and was bottlenecked with the 3D parts.
I've put together some notes on how I've optimized printing the shields using MFD's guidelines. Any feedback or QC comments are much appreciated.

RE: Covid Face Shield Support
How do we get the strap that holds the face shield on please?.
RE: Covid Face Shield Support
Some people find slotted elastic, others print quick release slotted end pieces with a built in elastic buckle.
