Another alternative to elastic straps
I made an adjustable strap from two pieces of 550 para-cord about 15" each. I used a double fisherman's loop (poacher's knot) at both ends and a double fisherman's bend in the middle. Don't forget to melt the ends of the 550 cord to keep it from fraying.

Ah, very nice. I was wondering about paracord solutions. Could you summarize what knots you're using? The slider knots look interesting.

@bobstro
I used a Double Fisherman's loop (Poacher's knot) at both ends and a Double Fisherman's bend in the middle. Poacher's knot is the more common name in the UK for the knot on both ends. Here's a good resource for knots: https://www.animatedknots.com/ plus thee's always YouTube.

Great info, thanks. Ive been meaning to learn some knots with paracord. This is a good excuse to do so. I just ordered some cord in a nice Prusa orange. Thanks!
