rpi PrusaLink not fully initializing
Hi,
I've followed the instructions to add a rpi zeroW to my MK3S and started the printer. I've flashed the latest MK3S firmware, and used the latest rpi image available.
I've waited 30 minutes and the printer still displays "Starting PrusaLink...". I checked the web interface of the printer's attached rpi (validating the rpi has a valid IP address and has access to the WiFi network) but it only shows "PrusaLink Instances" as seen on the attached picture
I tried reflashing the rpi, restart the printer a few times (closer to the wifi router), no luck. Should I enable SSH access and check things in the rpi?
Any other idea?
Thanks
RE: rpi PrusaLink not fully initializing
ok i've got some miss understanding when i did it also in fact it's simple and fast
you take ur micro sd card in ur computer
run the rapsberry soft
install the img 0.7 then find ur SSID and Password of you internet router to set up in the prusalink image
execut finish the rpi
put the sd card in the slot of the RPIOW2
most important is go to the lcd display and find the RPI on your printer and set up ON
wait then it find the wifi and it gave you prusalink ok and a IP adress if not then you do something wrong or forget !!
after easy you copy this IP adress on your computer and follow the prusalink installation
done
if u use RJ45 you do nothing only install the prusalink imag on ur sd card

Hi, thanks for your comment.
But I think you didn't read my post carefully as I took the time to explain that the rpy has to have a valid IP address (even though it's not clearly displayed in the front panel), meaning it reached the WiFi (meaning SSID/password is valid). The proof is the picture, where I connected to the web interface of the rpi, but it only displays a static message (seen in the picture), no guide no wizard, nothing more, even after half an hour.
What would be the next step in debugging? SSH ?
RE: rpi PrusaLink not fully initializing
Hi, are you sure you wanted the multiinstance image? How did you get it? Did we give out a wrong link or sth? Also, is your printer connected through the pins or usb? Thanks
RE: rpi PrusaLink not fully initializing
Hi,
I followed instructions from https://help.prusa3d.com/fr/guide/configuration-de-prusalink-et-prusa-connect-mk3-s-_221744 but indeed it looks like I took the wrong image (well, there are 2 images and probably didn't pay attention to the filename, just took a .img.gz). Let me try with the other one.
I'm connected through GPIO.

Ok it's working better now!!
Printer did a bip, and the https page has a wizard! Thanks so much.
Maybe worth mentioning to be careful and not take the wrong image 🙂
