RPi can't connect to printer
Hi.
Today I tried to connect my printer to Prusa Link, but unfortunately it didn't work. After connecting the RPi to the printer, neither the printer nor the RPi will boot. The printer will remain in the loop with the display fully lit, see the attached photo. After disconnecting the RPi, the printer starts normally.
The RPi is OK, after disconnecting it from the printer it boots, connects to Wi-Fi and gets an IP address (I found out the IP from the DHCP server on the router). In the browser, the "Prusa Link configuration Wizard" correctly reports the error "Unknown" (because the RPi is not connected to the printer).
I've tried a lot and can't think of anything, can I ask for some advice please? Thank you very much.
- Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W
- Original Prusa MK3S+, firmware version 3.11.0 4955
- The option setting in the printer is RPi port [On]
- I used the latest version of the image, downloaded on 7/7/2022
- Installation done twice, exactly according to the instructions
- I also have the connector pins correctly, see photo
- The intermediate piece between the printer board and the RPi is of course used

RE: RPi can't connect to printer
Hi, please try re-doing your solder connections. The left one on the first row looks soldered correctly, the rest is looking like little drops. I had to re-solder mine too. Also, I tried to solder from both sides.
You really need it to stick to both the pin and the pad on the pi.
At least in my experience, the bad connection was the cause. Thank you
RE: RPi can't connect to printer
Well, such a basic mistake. Of course, I re-soldered the joints, slowly, thoroughly, using flux. And the result? The printer connected on first boot.
Thank you very much.
