Prusa Link Wizard stuck in first step, asking to update the firmware

Hello

PrusaLink type: Rasperry Pi Zero 2 W

PrusaLink version:

0.7.2 (according to the Prusa Connect printer profile)

                  0.8.1 (which I installed yesterday)

Printer type: Prusa i3 MK3S/+

Printer UUID: e40eeb84-c1dd-4569-bc4c-f499dc8a1f54

Printer firmware version:

3.13.2-7080 (according to the Prusa Connect printer profile)

3.13.3-7094 (according to the printer itself)

PrusaSlicer version: 2.8.0 (on Vanilla OS)

Description of the bug, including steps to reproduce (if possible).

It started when I made the bad decission to press the Prusa Link upgrade link/button on the Prusa Connect Settings page (as I remember it). The installation went alright, but when I opened the page, it complained that my Pi OS is needing an upgrad. So I put a new image on the SD-Card (prusalink-0.8.1.img.xz). When I opened the page again, the "wizard" welcomed me with the request to upgrade the firmware of the printer. I did this as well (prusa3d_fw_3_13_3_MK3S.zip). I am using a flatpak install of the Slic3r on Vanilla OS. The avrdude software had no access rights on the serial device. After a while of searching for a solution I gave up, and switched to a Windows system. Minor issues with the SSID - my sight was blurred meanwhile, but the firmware installed alright. I opened the Prusa Link wizard again, who now asked me for credentials. At this time I was already steaming and had now ideas which credentials it asked for. After several failed attempts I hammered my fist on the keyboard - after which I had to reastart the computer.

Now, when I open the PrusaLink page, it is greeting me with the wizards welcome page, requesting to upgrade my printer firmware. I re-installed the new firmware, and I also loaded a new prusalink-raspberry image. Still I am stuck with the wizard requesting to upgrade.

While writing this, I get a feeling that the Prusa Connect printer profile is causing me trouble, and I may have to delete it.

Help!

Thank you

Kurt

I had this issue as well. It turns out there’s actually a more current release. 3.14.0 updating to this version solved the issue for me. https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/releases/tag/v3.14.0

Thank you Brooke! With the right firmware it is working like a charm. They must have uploaded 3.14.0 while I was installing 3.13.0. Bad timing. The Prusa Link wizard could have asked for "3.14.0" or higher, instead of just the "newest". Anyway, back to printing.

Hello all,

I have the same printer and same set up as you. I have installed printer firmware 3.14.0. I had perfectly running Prusa link version 0.7.1. Decided to upgrade to 0.8.1. Rpi booted perfectly and now the printer asks to "GO: IP adress". This is the same Ip adress I had when i set up first the prusa link, and I cannot open it in browser to set up the wizzard.......... Did you do something before the upgrade to 0.8.1?? Or what do I miss?
