printer acts like its run out of fillament when unloading fillament via lcd then it gets weired

So when i do the load fillament sequence it acts like it was printing and ran out of filament then when it goes through that process and you try to start a print it skips to like half way through the gcode. to fully understand you need to experence it for yourself.TO recreate have auto load fillament on unload fillament from lcd screen then insert fillament thats when it goes through the process like it would if it was printing and ran out of fillament then try to start a print that when it gets more wired.

Please help me out by downloading a model it's free and easy but really helps me out https://www.printables.com/@Hello_474427/models

Hi, no. Sorry forgot about this.

I have trouble with the specifics of what to try. Also. I would like to see it do the same on 3.12 or 3.13RC. But anyways, I'll try to give it a go once I know what exactly to do

1 - Flash 3.11 - factory reset, go through wizard
2 - Turn autoload on if not on
3 - Have PrusaLink connected - right?
4 - Have filament loaded - reset, to get a clean start and wait a minute for everything to load and be happy
5 - Unload filament
6 - Insert filament into the filament sensor - weirdness should start occurring
7 - Start a print. (From where? The LCD, PrusaLink from internal storage or PrusaLink from SD?) weirdness should continue

Please modify these steps to give me a better chance of reproducing this. Also - if it does it without PrusaLink, it might be a firmware thing - not much I can do besides report it on github

If you want, you can ssh into prusalink and restart it with "prusalink -d restart", then reproduce it, then send me the "syslog" file that can be found in the local web interface under settings

Sorry I forgot about this. Also if you can get the newer FW and try with that, that would help a lot. I don't feel like fixing this if it's just the 3.11 - would rather just make it unsupported when 3.13 rolls around.

1 - Flash 3.11 -  go through wizard

2 - Turn autoload on if not on

3 - turn printer off the turn prusalink on streight after turn on prusalink

4 - Have filament loaded - reset, to get a clean start and wait a minute for everything to load and be happy

5 - Unload filament via the lcd panel this is where it starts to go funny

6 - Insert filament into the filament sensor - weirdness should start occurring

7 - Start a print via prusalink

We decided not to do like /if 3.11 do thism If 3.13 do that, so if there are differences in the exact command and response. It might just stop working. Having these forks in what has to be done for each version to work properly would add a lot of complexity when changing stuff around. So yea  If there end up being breaking changes in the 3.13, 3.11 will stop working once i switch over to the new thing.

The logs don't say anything about what printer is doing I will go t 3.13 if they get rid of thermal anomaly

They will not get rid of thermal anomally. Have you ever seen a melting hotend? This is preventing that from happening and it took a long time to get to the point where it is now. Sorry

I am testing this on 3.13. I can easily trigger the runout, I'll see if getting rid of that trigger might help with any other weirdness down the line

interesting. Last night I was printing a 2 day print and about 4 hrs before it was done, It sounded a change over. Like for a new color. Nothing like this was selected in the slicer, went back and looked. So I just reloaded and it went on from there. Glad I was there when it happened though. MK4..and boy..do I love this thing! the print lines are amazing! Makes everything look like silk.

That sounds like a noisy filament sensor signal, or there being a buildup of dirt in there. Please ask support for guidance on this, this is just my hunch
