Update: Seems like the Connect maintenance helped a bunch, there still are problems to be solved, let me know if your printer still refuses to register or sits offline for a prolonged periods of time.

there is an increasing number of posts complaining their printer (MK4, XL, MINI) is showing offline or is not able to register with Connect at all.
First of all, we are really sorry for all the disruption we are causing.
This is my understanding from a fly on the wall perspective as I am not involved in coding Connect or the Buddy firmware.
The perfect storm: as we released the firmware for the MINI, our main server wizard had to take care of a family situation and left for a while, the other team member that understands server stuff took a longer vacation about a week later, as the minis joined and new firmware released, it seems like the FW is not OK with longer response times while the Connect servers were suddenly handling at least a third more printers than before.
I do not know how effective might any server side attempt at improving this be (the faster solution), but if everything fails, it sounds like we should be able to fix it with a firmware upgrade as it looks like the MK3 RPi based PrusaLink is not affected.
I suspect the situation gets worse the further you are from Europe
If you feel like it post your country and if and how is your printer affected. It's more for confirming a personal hypothesis than anything else.

That is a completely separate issue this thread is not adressing. Here's a response anyway:
I realise I don't have much ground to stand on here, but we really are trying hard to make the most out of the cards we were dealt.
The HW is set in stone, and it's not blazing fast. Now it's on software to go the extra mile so it's usable.
As for me, I didn't promise blazing fast transfer speeds. I settled on saying that we are doing whatever we can for the transfer speed to not be an issue anymore. It's not done yet. You'll notice when it is.

I’m in the United States near Seattle WA on an Mk4. Issue for me started concurrently with my install of 5.0.0 last Thursday.
I am otherwise delighted with the new printer and firmware, and I’m confident this issue will be addressed. Sneakernet is still adequate for my use case.

I too am in the United States near Seattle Washington, on both MK4 and Mini+. Both show the offline issue, intermittent but more often offline than online . Just another data point.

Tojik as u may know am in France so Europe and my are running with the RPiow2 without any problem so far , i am working on assembly the mk4 kit hope i'll not get so much trouble ! will let u know soon !!!

New Zealand mk3s+ Raspberry pi 4 can confirm it is fine except for a occasional prusa connect unavailable but that happens maybe every 3 times I turn it on on average

US - California San Francisco Bay Area(up in the mountains, connecting over Starlink) here. Mine is rarely connected, with long periods of just being unable to connect at all. Last night I tried to use the "Send to Prusa Connect" feature in Prusa Slicer and, after initially failing because the printer wasn't connected, it finally connected and ended up having to just cancel it this morning after ~12 hours of it trying to download, disconnecting before finishing, and then repeating. Download speeds to the printer also seemed to be a pretty shocking ~100kbps on my otherwise 20-100Mbps connection. It also took 2 days after building it to be able to even get it to do the initial registration.

As described in one of the other threads I registered a new MK4 kit build to Connect on Sept 15th and a Mini+ with the alpha software on Sept 21st. Both are disconnecting from Connect frequently and showing offline more often than they are online.

I appreciate you pinning this post! I too have seen similar issues pretty consistently (just checked, and the Connect page currently says my printer is offline) and honestly they may have started before the v5 firmware for my MK4. It sounds like there are some fairly strict timeout settings on the printers in the connection attempt to Prusa Connect servers.
I'd be curious if it's a problem with the servers themselves being overloaded or the WAN connections to those servers just having a lot of latency. Either way, I imagine people in the US are probably having more issues than EU-based folks., since there's always going to be a _bit_ more latency for us (unless y'all have or intend to deploy additional resources stateside at some point?).

The issue is three fold. A short timeout in FW, the distance to server being stupidly large and that we lagged behind spinning up more workers of sorts to handle the increasing traffic

It may be too soon to be meaningful, but my two printers have stayed online since the end of this morning's server maintenance. This seems like the longest stretch of online that I've seen for weeks.
That said, the 'Connect/Control' tab for my Mini now shows 'Unsupported printer model'. Using firmware 5.1.0-alpha1+12820 which the Connect/Settings tab shows as 'supported'.
