File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
Only started happening today I get file transfer error on every print from Prusa Connect to my MK4. It works on my Mk3s+ and works through Prusa Link both from the slicer and from drag and drop on the web interface. So it's only Prusa Connect that fails every time.
I've restarted, turned on and off, re-flashed firmware, I also tried from another browser and machine and switched out the USB stick.
Anty ideas?
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
I had that issue a few days ago. File would upload from PrusaSlicer to PrusaConnect. Then it would sit there & fail to go from PrusaConnect to the printer. I think manually uploading to PrusaConnect failed as well. Rebooted the printer a few times to no avail. I gave up & came back the next day. Worked fine then. I only tried on my XL & not the MK3 with a Pi for PrusaLink though.
So no help on why, but at least you aren't alone with some issues recently.
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
Yup me too getting the same problem. Control works fine e.g. I can switch the printer heatbed on whilst the file is 'waiting'
I first noticed it last night. File uploaded to Connect then just sat 'waiting' to send to printer. Sending via PrusaLink was fine. Today am not at home so cannot use PrusaLink so trying to send another file via Connect to start it printing remotely and again have the waiting message.
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
For me the same problem.
Any update available?
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
I updated to the latest firmware 5.1.2. Its solved now.
For me the same problem.
Any update available?
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
Same issue here.
It works every now and then, and if I look at my queue, I have things loaded but with an error of "this file doesn't exist on the printer".
Manually copying the files to the USB works fine at least.
This is more annoying than the erro message that there was a transfer error, but the file is still there. Manually starting a print with the same file that supposedly failed works.
I haven't tried with PrusaLink yet, but will once my printer is free again.
RE:
The same problem, printing works only by copying file directly to usb
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
Same problem here. Prusa mini works fine, but MK3S+ is having issues. I can home it via Prusa connect, but file transfer is impossible.
RE:
Same issue on XL single tool. I've tried updating firmware slicer software, resetting printer so far nothing has been helpful.
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
I have a Prusa XL 5T and i have this issue as well. I found a reddit post about it and two options fixed it, new usb assuming it is bad or renaming the file with less keys. For me there seems to be a character limit the Prusa Connecct will take before it will not send it to your usb. It always seems to transfer to Prusa connect fine but when it tries to send it to the printer (usb) it fails.
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
I had this problem as well. In my case it was an issue with a duplicate name on the UBS stick. I had a folder on the stick that had the same name as the file I was trying to send to the printer.
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
I had the same problem today.....shortened the name of the file and all was well.
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
I was having this issue when I was trying to upload a file with the same name. When I deleted the existing file and tried again, it worked.
RE:
Shortening the file name worked for me too.
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
Deleting all older files which were uploaded to the printer (XL 5T) did the job. There just was no memory space enough.
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
Hi!
I was having this issue when I was trying to upload a file with the same name. When I deleted the existing file and tried again, it worked.
Thanks! This solution helped me here. I sent the new order with a new name instead of the old one.
RE: File Transfer Error When Using Prusa Connect
Same here. Thanks for the info. Hopefully they will get it resolved soon.
