Buddy Camera won't connect to Wifi Extender

Hi All, i got my CoreOne+ working with the BuddyCam over Christmas but since i moved the printer out to the garage (which needs a Wifi extender) i haven't been able to connect the Buddy Camera. The printer itself connects to the extender Wifi no problem. I was able to get the camera connected using my phone as a hotspot no problem also. The extender wifi name is just letters, the password is just 12 numbers and letters. I disabled the 5Ghz band on the extender (it's a TP-link model). The extended 2.4 Ghz signal is pretty decent, i can stream videos etc. on my phone. The printer and camera downloaded the latest firmware during setup over Christmas. The error i'm getting now with the extender after i scan the QR code is just 'wifi connection failed'. Maybe there's another extender setting that is preventing a connection?

Prusa chat wasn't able to help me. Appreciate any ideas on what to try next.

RE: Buddy Camera won't connect to Wifi Extender

After reading fully through the latest comments on the other post i've been able to fix my issue. Maybe i could have appended a note to the other post but i thought my problem was different since the Buddy Cam was working fine with the latest firmware. Maybe it would have stopped working in time. Anyway the steps i followed are below. I'm not sure which items are critical but it wasn't much effort to implement.

1. Disable 5 Ghz band on the repeater.

2. Rename SSID so it just has letters only

3. Change password to 16 digits

4. Download and install buddycam firmware 3.1.1

Works fine now, connected straight away and reconnects are power off/on.
