BuddyCam CoreOne black/white

Ok, installed, but all show only a black and white picture. I had that from my others, non-Core as well, but after a few days they switched to color/night mode automatically. hmmm, the Core Ones don't just yet. Is that normal? I would say the lighting inside the chamber should have been optimized for the camera use, but apparently it hasn't.

RE: BuddyCam CoreOne black/white

Unless you light your work area up like a christmas tree, you will get a black and white image.

I was using one with my Mk4 and couldn't get colour reliably, even with extra lights.

Prusa tell me this is normal.

I also didn't like the clicking when it was in B&W mode. Again, Prusa said this was normal.

For these reasons, I put the Buddy3D camera away and went back to a Raspberry Pi camera V3 using Octoprint. Picture is perfect, it has a brialliant auto focus and doesn't need a lot of light.

Prusa are aware of the large number of users who have been complaining about the sensistivity of the night vision feature and hopefully they'll eventually do some adjustments via firmware so you get a reliable and good colour image under normal lighting conditions. Until that happens, my Buddy3D camera will be staying in the cupboard.

Well, thought so in the beginning as well. But in my Prusa Mini Enclosure, basically only light from the front can come in and it is in a pretty dark room, it goes color during the day. No extra lights in there. That was the first and it took it something like two days to do the switch. The XL is running with a buddyCam, but there is active lightning and it works color. But the Core Ones with illuminated bed don't switch to color? Don't get it.
