Buddy Camera in the Core one reads the code and shows up in Connect, but is not registered.

My Core One Buddy Camera was working fine until the last update. Now it reads the QR code, and it appears in Connect for the printer, but it is not registered.
I am using the same WIFI setup that worked before the update (i.e., no special characters in the SSD [only letters, -, and _] and only letters in the password. I have reset the camera to factory settings, and when the code is read, the new male voice says the code was recognized. Nothing else happens at either the camera or in Connect, other than the new camera showing up as unregistered.

That is correct. Any suggestions?

Same. I worked with support several months ago. They gave me an early release of the updated firmware but the issue persisted. They then sent me a replacement camera but the behavior is the same.

At this point I've given up on it, which is really disappointing. I have a ring cam pointed at my printer, but I really want the chamber camera that I purchased to work as described.

There's another thread on this, but after the update I was having problems too. Either downgrade to 3.1.1, or change your password to be multiples of eight characters long (so 8, 16 or 24). I changed mind from 15 to 16 and it sorted it!

Here's the link for downgrading, but follow the thread for the character count fix https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/buddy3d/buddy-cam-core-one-wifi-connection-failed-after-update-to-fw-3-1-2/paged/3/#post-777217

If you do a new firmware update then I suggest to delete the camera in the PrusaConnect and add it again via 'Add wifi camera' on the very bottom.

Had the same issue on the Buddy cam form Core One L, but main issues were related to having wpa2 and wpa3 on the wifi ( choose only one of those), and with 3.1.2 it worked with a dollar sign in the oassword without any special tricks.

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

Just following up on this. I had a replacement camera sent and it worked.
