Z at -2.0 (min) but still not sticking to the sheet

We've just assembled our Prusa Mini, trying to get the callibration right. Even after putting the Z offset to it's minimum value (-2.0), the print doesn't stick to the sheet. Anything above -1.0 creates a messy ball at the end (the part where it is supposed to print a square base). Any ideas to remedy the situation? Thank you.

There are several things you can do.

First don't get all tied up with the numbers of the Z calibration. Just get the best calibration without any or few lines between the print.

Next make sure your print sheet is clean. Wash it with good detergent  and rinse it well . Even then follow it up with a good clean wipe with IPA.

Lastly make sure your print material is fairly new and dry. I have had problems with print material just not being good.

Hope this helps,

Tom

Adjust your Minda sensor higher. That will in effect move your nozzle lower.  If you are at -2.0 and not getting the proper squish then I would move it up 1mm (in effect taking off 1.000 from the sensor value.  Then redo the live z.  That will put your number back into the sensors middle range.  The reason -2.000 is the lowest is that the sensor becomes unreliable beyond that.

It may have been a rookie mistake on my part. When I switched to a new filament and changed the printing sheet it worked...

Thank you all.
