Watchdog on 2nd print
I got my printer today, setup was straightforward and I was up and running in an hour. I did a calibration, and printed the prusa logo model. Quality fantastic. Layers looking good. No problems.
Second print, Benchy. Got to 90% completed, again quality good, no issues. Suddenly big red screen on the printer. Watchdog, and the printer restarts. Failed print. No idea why. I saved the crash dump, but no idea how to open it.
Can anyone give me an idea what's going on? Should I be worried?

I would recommend to install the latest firmware (4.2.1)

@karl-herbert
i had already updated to the latest before printing. 4.2.1-final is what i have.
Well that certainly is the most useless answer you could have given. Of course im going to try again. Im not going to just put it in the corner and never use it again am i? I didnt ask whether i should try again, I asked if anyone knew why this might happen, or whether this is something to be concerned about.
RE: Watchdog on 2nd print
There have been issues with the quality of the USB sticks supplied with the printers. You could try a different USB 2 stick if you have one.

@gordon-w
Interesting! i'll give that a try. Much appreciated.

The error seems to be known to Prusa. Changing the USB stick might work:

RE: Watchdog on 2nd print
OK, so I just got my new Mini and I got the Watchdog buzzkill on my very first print after calibration. I was printing the Prusa logo from the factory USB memory stick - it bombed just after it started printing the letters on the base section. Not an auspicious start to my ownership. Any ideas? I saw Karl's note about changing the USB stick, and I can try that, but should I just copy the factory files from the factory stick to another stick, or should I create a whole new stick from online files (assuming I can find all the factory files online)? i.e. is it the files on the stick that are bad, or is the stick itself that's bad?
RE: Watchdog on 2nd print
Oh, and I should have mentioned - I do have the latest firmware (4.2.1). It came that way from Prusa.

@kmclemore
It appears to be the stick that goes 'bad' so you should be fine copying the files to a new stick. The files are available on the website if you want to be extra cautious.
RE: Watchdog on 2nd print
I copied all the files off the USB stick to my PC. Formatted the prusa stick (not a quick format), also removed the partition and made a new one. Seems to be working fine now, ive done a few prints with no watchdog error.
Ive also ordered a posh usb stick off amazon just incase.
RE: Watchdog on 2nd print
Thank you, Sam and Gordon. I’ll give that a shot. Cheers!
