uneven sides

My students & I fully assembled the Mini+ and it has passed all self-test / calibration wizard tests.  Our 1st layer calibration also looks really good (I think).  However, our print output is not good.  Two sides are as-expected, but the other sides are very bumpy & it seems to "jump" around.  I'm using a classroom desk and will be switching to a more solid table, but I don't suspect that's the problem.  My room is quiet & we worked very hard not to jostle it during this print.  Any ideas?

RE: uneven sides

Unfortunately your chosen filament doesn't photograph well and it's hard to see details...

Check your print fan is correctly plugged into the electronics board.

Check your belt tension.

If you continue to have difficulties show us the problem in a lighter shade of filament if you have it.

Cheerio,

RE: uneven sides

Like Diem said, a bit difficult to see, but it looks like small layer shifts on one axis. Usual suspects are: belt tension and grub screws on motor shafts.

Also: with the printer powered down, do the x and y axis move freely or do you feel resistance?

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Find out why this is pinned in the general section!

RE: uneven sides

Adjusting the belt tension to be tighter fixed the problem - Thank you everyone!
