Trying to identify layer shift in x-axis
I have been trying to identify a layer shift in my x-axis.
I have had no layer shifts up to this point, though I have worked through several other problems. I believe my belt tension is good, but I have noticed tiny black rubber bits on the print bed after some prints. They were so small I first thought they were just flecks of burnt filament, but then I found one the size of a skinny mouse turd, and it was clearly from my belt! All the teeth on my belt are there, maybe it came off the side.
Shifts are both small and big, on complex and simple geometry.
Also check out this noise in my video. Printer is off and noise doesn't happen on every slide back and forth, but it does often.
I am noob with some intermediate knowledge, or maybe an intermediate with noob knowledge, lol, I mean I miss some simple things, so any comment is appreciated, also I like run on sentences.

Probably not off the belt but the seals on the bearing, which are black. The fact that you have massive layer shifts also supports that as it looks like you need to lubricate the bearings as you have excessive friction so it’s causing missing steps. If the seals have gone then lubrication will only be a temporary fix and it sounds like you need to replace them entirely.

Thank you, it was indeed the bearings. More are being ordered, I will update once replaced. Has anyone done this repair? I wonder what I'm in for.
