Stringing After Hardware Replacement/Reassembly
Hello All,
I recently replaced my hotend after accidentally completely destroying it, and so started printing with the new one. The first print (an x-y-z calibration cube) printed successfully, however I did notice the presence of some stringing as the infill was printed. After this, I attempted a benchy, and this is where the stringing was really obvious (Image attached). Could be happening due to my new hotend?
Something else to note is that I recently had to take apart my extruder to clean it, potentially somehow causing the stringing (although I have no idea how).
My filament settings are as such:
Filament - PLA
Nozzle temp. - 215*C
bed Temp - 72*C
If Anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated

Your temperatures look pretty good. Are you storing your filament in a dry box in between uses? If not then that is a good place to start. High humidity can be a big problem if the filament is exposed to such an environment.

I dried my filament overnight and started a new print and (so far) it seems successful, so thanks so much for the info.
I do have a question though, How was it you were able to tell moisture in filament was the cause? Is it simply process of ellimination from the other likely causes, or is it something to do with the stringing shown in the picture specifically that tipped you off?

It looks like bubblegum. Blobby, sticky, inconsistent.
Bad examples - like yours, display all the inconsistencies as the water boiling off in the nozzle messes with the extrusion pressure. Milder examples can be harder to spot but it's safest to assume that any filament left exposed to the air for 24 hours is partially affected, make that 2 hours for nylon and solubles.
