Hello. 

I got a prusa mini a few weeks ago and evrything worked fine until today. ( Wanted to print something and the y-axis was completly wrong and made a crazy noise too, like if it would touch something at the end. I didn't change anything, so this is really weird. When i start the assistent it get a failure at the y-axis.

I don't know what to do.

Please help!!

Hello and welcome to the Prusaforum!

I hope not, but maybe one or more linear ball bearings are defective. One of them broke in my Mini after about 2 weeks.
I would contact the Prusachat in your situation or exchange the original bearings for Miusimi or slide bearings.

Vielen Dank für die Nachricht! Ich werde mal den chat aktivieren. Ich hoffe die können helfen, ansonsten sollte ich das Gehäuse für das Lager wechseln oder?

Since we are in the english speaking forum, I will stick to english for now. If you need more information, you can send a PN to me.

The original U-bolts have always bothered me about the Prusa printers. If you rebuild the bearings, you might consider to install them in cases. I have published these in the Prusaprints. They can be used for the Mini as well as for the MK3. But there is one exception concerning the Mini case. On the right side you have to install one with a cutout, otherwise it will collide with the Y-stepper motor.
