Probing Failed

So I got my Prusa Mini+ 4 days ago, and it immediately had the probing failed error. I ran mesh bed leveling and it fixed it for a while, I got a benchy and a whistle off, and then it started giving the error again. The first layer test is visibly unlevel, with the right side being pretty good but the left side a couple millimeters off the bed. I looked on forums and similar problems gave the answer of "faulty sensor." This doesn't make sense to me, but I'm no expert. If I push on the left side of the extruder arm slightly, I can make it sense the bed, and continue on printing, but there's no way this would work with a large print, nor do I want to push on the arm the whole time. Anyone have an idea if it's a faulty printer, if there's a key assembly thing I may have missed(besides screw order, I double-checked that), or if I'm just missing something?

RE: Probing Failed

If it is an assembled kit, I would think it is a bad probe.
