PLA Filament Stuck in Extruder, Won't Pull Out for Replacement
After trying to use up my last bit of remaining filament (Vanilla White Prusament PLA) by printing the mandatory Benchy the filament sensor indicated that I was out of filament and it as expected commanded the extruder to pull back what was left in the Bowden tube but this caused two things I did not expect:
- The sensor popped off the end of the tube, I probably didn't fasten it enough.
- The remaining filament is stuck in the extruder assembly, a lot of it is still outside of the tube easily grabbed by me.
Below are two images of the current situation:
As the sensor can't detect the filament I can't simply use "Unload filament" or "Change filament" in the Filament menu.
What should I do now? I have another full spool of Prusament PLA ready to go.

Found Solution, Wasn't Pulling with Plier
I got the stuck filament removed with some pliers. All solved!

You could try heat up and then pull the filament out of extruder. Happened to me when I ran out of spool and small filament got stuck in between feeder and extruder (I don't have filament sensor at that time). I had to heat up the extruder and then pull it out.
But glad that you managed to pull it out.
One time when I attempted to upgrade my MK3S to MK3S+, I took apart the extruder and forgot about filament still inside and it was pain to remove filament from a cold heatend. I used the heater gun on heatend to soft up the filament and removed it. Ugh.
